Hello, I'm upgrading my rig to a Z170 platform and to an unlocked i5. I want to get a Cryorig H7 cooler because it is aesthetically pleasing an I heard it cools well. I am wondering if an H7 can get an i5-6600K to 4.5 GHz. (my goal) Thanks for investing your time into this thread.

Solution
You are good.
Cryorig H7 with a 120mm fan will do the job.

How high you can Overclock is primarily determined by the quality of your particular chip.
As of 5/2016
What percent can get an overclock at a somewhat sane 1.40v Vcore.

I5-6600K
5.0 2%
4.9 11%
4.8 36%
4.7 64%
4.6 88%

14nm skylake runs cool. You will run out of safe Vcore(1.4v) before you run into thermal limits.
I have no problem with a 4.8 OC using a noctua NH-U12s using a 120mm fan.

Solution

I overclocked my 6600K at 4.6 GHz after manually setting VCore at 1.355 V in the BIOS. Are there any stats on 4.6 GHz at 1.35V ? I can get it stable on 1.35 V (the additional 0.005 V is only for good measure - extra stability) using a cheap single fan air cooler.
