Hi everyone! I want to buy this Graphics card:

https://www.asus.com/us/Graphics-Cards/DUAL-GTX1050-O2G/overview/

ASUS GeForce® GTX 1050 2GB Dual-fan Edition DVI-D HDMI DP 1.4 Gaming Graphics Card

I'm just wondering if this card will be compatible with my setup. This are my specs:

  • Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 945, 3.6 Ghz
    RAM: 4GB DD3 Kingston Hyperx
Current Graphics: GeForce GT 640 2GB
    PSU: 550W Thermaltake

I think the compatibility will rely more on the Motherboard, but I'm really not sure about that. Reviewing my motherboard's specs I found that it has the following:

  • 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16
    2 x PCIe 2.0 x1
    1 x PCI

On another thread, I read that all that was needed is the motherboard to have 1 x PCIe x16, but, since my motherboard's bus is PCIe 2.0 and the GTX 1050 is PCI Express 3.0 I don't know if they'll be fully compatible.

Any help would be really appreciated!
