Will a NVidia 1070 work with a B150 plus d3?

Motherboards are confusing for me. I'm planning on building, but I'm not sure between the 1060 or 1070, which of those would work if any? Multiple posts of the same answer are welcome...

Both 1060 or 1070 would work, no problems. Not much of a concern with GPU being compatible with motherboards as almost all will work with each other. I'd be more worried if your CPU can handle the GPU without bottlenecking its performance (and of course, if you PSU can supply power to that GPU).

I'm planning on getting a 1000W PSU and a i5 6600k. I'm almost positive these will run, but I'd appreciate advice. Thanks for the quick response!

First, the PSU. That 1000W PSU is way too much of an overkill for the parts you're going to run!

An i5-6600k CPU would consume not more than 100W (http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/core-i5-6600k-processor-review-desktop-skylake,8.html).
The GTX 1070 GPU would consume not more than 200W (http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1070-review,8.html).
Add some more headroom wattage for other components at around 50W.
So, you will never be consuming more than 400W for the entire system.

I would recommend you to get a good 500W to 550W PSU, such as the Seasonic G-550, Seasonic M12II-520, EVGA SuperNOVA G3 550W, EVGA SuperNOVA G2 550W, Antec HCG-520M or XFX XTR 550W.

Secondly, if you will be purchasing the Asus B150-Plus D3 motherboard, the chipset (B150) does not support overclocking that i5-6600K CPU (the K version is unlocked and can be overclocked). If you want to overclock the 6600K, then get a Z170 motherboard. Now, if you do not want to overclock, then, the B150 will suit you fine. But I would suggest getting a locked CPU (such as the i5-6600 or the i5-6700) and not the K version as you cannot overclock on a B150 mobo anyway.
