Will a USB hub solve "Power surge on USB port"?

I have a VOID Wireless Dolby 7.1 RGB Gaming Headset from corsair. I have had this headset for almost 2 years and a couple months ago I got a "POwer surge on USB port" and it would stop working. My keyboard and mouse work and the headset works on other computers just not mine. I contacted corsair, ASUS(motherboard), and microsoft and they ran and uninstalled/reinstalled everything they could and nothing. Microsoft said that I will need a USB hub to fix this. I am unsure how it will fix it and I want to know anyones opinion on this.

yeah, if they draw too much power, the externally powered hub should let them get the juice they need is probably what the techs were thinking anyway....

this one has a 2Amp charger port too, for fast charging your phone and devices, vape pens, whatever...

Sorry for the questions I dont know much about these hubs. Im looking at them and do they just stay plugged onto the computer and you use them? I do a lot of gaming and I dont want anything to need to be charged really.

They stay plugged in. They have their own power source
