Hi, thanks for checking out my problem. I am wondering if an AMD FX-4300 CPU will bottleneck the EVGA Superclocked 1060 6gb GPU I just ordered. I am planning on replacing the motherboard and getting and i7-7700k CPU in there, but until then when they are finally shipped, I want to be able to run games well. Also, I would like to know, if there is a bottleneck, whether or not the bottleneck will damage some of my parts or overheat. Thanks, and all help is appreciated!

System Specs:
CPU: AMD FX-4300 Quad Core

GPU: AMD r7 240 (getting replaced by the EVGA SC 1060 6gb)

RAM: DDR3 8gb (2 slots 4gb each)

STORAGE: Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB

MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2 Micro ATX AM3+

PSU: 350w (idk brand)

MONITOR: Dell SE2717H 1920x1080 27”

Thanks, how big of a power supply would you recommend?

for a 1060 you want minimum a GOOD 450w or better psu with the proper pcie cables if not overclocking

a 550w unit to keep for a long time and for overhead to overclock

also +1

dont get a 7700k right now, if you are buying new get a i5 8600k or i5 8400 with the proper motherboard and DDR4 ram
