Hey there,
I was wondering would a GTX 660ti get bottlenecked by an e5200. This is meant for a very cheap budget system to get a friend into PC gaming. The games that would be predominantly played are CS:GO, Leauge of Legends, Hearthstone and Overwatch/Paladins. If it does bottleneck what type of cpu/mobo would I need to avoid it?
Cheers :)

Solution
Yes, it would bottleneck almost any GPU, even a low end one. What this means is that with an e5200, fps will not increase above a certain point (and that certain point is very low) even if you use a very good GPU.
For you to suggest the e5200, it would seem your budget is indeed very, very low.
I would suggest a i5-2500k or i7-2600k with a Z68 mobo. They should be available 2nd-hand at very low prices.
That is not ideal though as those platforms are very old as well (8 years old). best is a 4th-gen solution

first-gen aren't worth the money no matter what. There is just too much of a performance gap between first and second gen. And i3 is a huge no-no too. What is the point of spending $$ if it is obsolete soon after?

2nd-gen i5 can be found for peanuts. And compatible ddr3 ram is v. cheap too. Try to land a good listing on ebay. It will be worth it. Good luck!
