My motherboard is an MSI P67A-C43.
Here is the layout:
PCIE x1 slot
PCIE x16 slot (occupied by reference GTX 680)
PCIE x1 slot (covered by GPU)
PCIE x1 slot
PCI slot
PCI slot
PCI slot

Now, I plan on purchasing the Asus Xonar DX to go with the Corsair SP2500's I'm about to order, but am not sure if it will fit properly in my system with the 680 in there. According to Asus, the Xonar DX is 6.6" long and .4" tall.
In the bottom most PCIE x1 slot, I think it will fit, but it will be practically touching the bottom of my gpu, and will cover up a bit of the GPU fan.
As for the top PCIE x1 slot, I'm not sure if it will fit with the GPU under it, or with the battery right there.
If it won't fit, I'll have to get the Asus Xonar D1, which is the same thing but goes in a PCI slot. The problem is it's an extra $20(for no benefits/differences besides slot from what I can tell), and when I change boards in the coming years, I may not be able to get one with a PCI slot, and my Sound Card will then be useless.
