Hey!
I'm not sure will Core 2 Duo E8400 work on my old motherboard. Yea, socket is the same (LGA775) so that won't be a problem but i read that MS7301 only supports 1066MHz FSB. Will i have to go with 1066MHz Core 2 Duo or can i buy E8400 ?
Thank youl

Solution
I found this information from on old thread on Tom's:

No i think the only C2D it can support are the Conroe chips.

From the P/B website it says.

The motherboard built into your computer is the Packard Bell Cuba. Its main features are:

* Support for the Intel Celeron, Conroe and Pentium 4 processors in Socket LGA775.
* Supports a maximum memory size of 2 GB.
* Intel Pentium Hyper Threading technology with FMB Mainstream 2005 and 2006 support
* Intel Pentium D Dual Core technology support

So im currently looking at the E6600 or E6700.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

So looks like you are limited to the E4xxx...

So looks like you are limited to the E4xxx or E6xxx series core 2 duo's if this post is correct. Can't find anything online after a quick search, that post is from 2010

Solution
By the way, can anyone confirm would E6700 work?
It's a 1333MHz FSB and internet says my mobo supports 533/800/1066.
I have a modded version of the newest award bios i found for this one (3.16)
