[SOLVED] Will cpu bottleneck my ram and mobo

So my motherboard z270 supports 3866MHz ram but my cpu i7 6700k only supports 2133. Will I benefit in any way from buying 3600mhz ram?

Your CPU will run RAM at higher than 2133. That's just the "recommended" speed, and anything past that is considered "overclocked".

I would buy 3600MHz if you can; however, it is not guaranteed to run at that speed. 3200MHz was the sweet spot with that generation.
