Hi,
Long time reader, first time poster, so hoping you can help me.
I am currently running a Gigabyte GA-G41M- combo mobo, with quad core Q6660 processor.

I would like to upgrade the DDR2 ram to DDR3 so I can improve my gaming experience.

Mobo specs suggest it supports up to 1333 DDR3 RAM, but I need help choosing the right memory chips as the last ones I bought were not compatible.

Can anyone tell me my best options for 8Gb ddr3 to run on the above system?

(I'm also running A HD7750 1gb graphics card).

Thanks

You can't use both DDR2 and DDR3 at the same time, it must be one or the other. Honestly though, I wouldn't recommend buying new DDR3 memory and installing it. Your performance gains will be negligible (very small).

Instead, I would recommend you save the money and start planning for a new build altogether.
