Hi, I just got this laptop some weeks ago, but it came with single channel ram, before i bought it, i watched a lot of benchmarks with the exact same specs as my laptop (exact same TDP as well) but with dual channel ram (2x4gb instead of 1x8gb).
My question here is: Is dual channel going to boost my performance? Am i going to get the fps that i saw in those benchmarks or more stable performance? Is it worth it to spend 55 or 60 dollars (price on my country) to get a exact same brand, capacity and frequency second memory ram stick? Also i got a coolerpad with 2500RPM and 5 fans for better cooling because HP Laptops cooling system is trash xd (it reachs 70-71° max when gaming)

Specifications:

-Ryzen 5 2500U
-1x8GB RAM 2400MHZ CL17 (Single Channel)
-1TB HDD
-Vega 8 Integrated Graphics
-15 TDP

Model: HP 245 G7

Some benchmarks with the exact same specs, but dual channel:

Will it boost performance? Yes. How much or how little is a little hard to say.

BUT - I'm also concerned that it's a Ryzen with 2400MHz RAM. If your laptop supports higher speed RAM, I'd say a 2x4GB kit of higher speed ram will also help a little.
