Question Will Evga 650w G2 handle this setup?

Hey,

I want to upgrade my PC with RTX 2080 or even 2080ti and im wondering if my PSU can handle it. I will play games in 4k and planning to overclock both Gpu and Cpu.

My current setup:

Power Supply: Evga 650W G2
CPU: I7 6700k
CPU: Watter Cooler Hydra
RAM: DDR4 16GB
HDD: 1TB
SSD: 3x 250GB Samsung Evo

Current GPU i have is GTX 1070, but as said i want to upgrade to 2080 or 2080ti. Will PSU going to be enough?

RTX 2080 Ti 260 watts
CPU 95 watts
= 355 watts

I can't see the rest taking up 295 watts....so I think you will be OK.
Although personally I like a little more overhead as far as power.

For some extra headroom, and also if you have plans to overclock your GPU/CPU, then having a slightly higher Wattage PSU might also help. Though, QUALITY of the PSU matters the most, rather than any Wattage number alone.

You should be fine though.

it could be a bit of a tight squeeze with an OC, but it should hold up. The G2 was based on the Leadex Gold if I'm not mistaken. That's a good PSU.
