Will External USB 4 or 6TB work?

I've seen a lot of posts regarding whether a 'somewhat' older computer will be able to see a 4TB or 6TB external HD, the answer seems to be "it depends"?. I have the same question, mobo is Asus Sabertooth 55i, using an add in card for USB3: Vantec 4 Port USB 3.0 PCIe with internal 20 pin Host Card (UGT-PC345). Don't want to spend $100 or more if not gonna work. Oh, windows 10.

There is no reason for it not to work (unless you're you're using Windows XP or something older).
With windows 10 everything should work.
