Will getting new RAM be worthwhile?

Hey guys. I have a pentium dual core 2.7 ghz,two gig ram and a nvidia gt630 4 gig running on windows 8.Now my problem is that the Witcher 2 has major sucky frame rate even on low settings.I want to know if buying new RAM like around 8 gig would make the game at least playable until I get my core i5.Thanks in advance guys.

I assume you are saying your GT 630 has 2GB of RAM and your PC has 4GB of RAM installed. In general 4GB of RAM is more than enough for games. If the only program you load after getting into Windows 8 is just a game then I would guess that only about 2.4GB - 2.6GB out of the 4GB of RAM is being used.

The two things that are holding you back is you weak graphics card and your weak CPU.

no the GPU is 4 gig and my RAM is 2 gig.And a new GPU at the moment is out of the question unless I can return it?Whats more the punk at the PC store said even latest games would run good with only a few settings on medium.Whoopti doo.And to be clear:2 gig RAM,4 gig GPU.And will the core i5 help considerably? And I am playing a lot of games on high and the framerate is fine.Just the Witcher 2 being a bish.

4 Gig GPU.2 gig Ram.Of this I am sure. And a new GPU is sadly not an option because I am planning on getting a core i5 next(will it help the performance considerably?) And oddly quite a number of games are running on high with no framerate issues. And also consider the fact that TW2 is an oldish game

Thanks for the advice man.Good to see there are nice people here, unlike the other idiots who answered my question. They want to act know it all but they do know crap.
