Will GTS 450 work on my PC

I have a DG31PR Motherboard with 3 GB RAM
and
Intel Core 2 CPU E7500 @ 2.93GHz (2 CPUs)

Will GTS 450 give me good performance? Will games run smoothly on a resolution of maybe 1600*1024?

If not which graphic card should i go for?

yes you will be able to max out most games at that resolution.You may have to lower some settings in hyper demanding games like crysis,metro 2033.

Definitely Yes i have that GTS 450 it give me good performance im happy with this card

Before my gpu is 8400SE then i upgrade it to GTS 450 it gives me HUGE PERFORMANCE BOOST I can MAX MOST OF GAMES WITH NO LAGG your pc is quite fast than mine.
