it's a monitor. You plug it into GPU and get picture. Simple.
In regards to if you'll even be able to achieve high refresh rates with a 1060 3GB, the answer lies in you playing at 1080p and most likely all low settings depending on the games.
In regards to the syncing technology, it's freesync, and while Nvidia has released driver updates that unlock support for freesync monitors, your mileage will vary as to whether or not it will work.
