Hey Guys,

I have the following below.

PNY GeForce GTX 1660 Blower - Graphics card - GF GTX 1660 - 6 GB GDDR5 - PCIe 3.0 x16 - DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort
9th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 9400 (6-Core, 9MB Cache, up to 4.1GHz with Intel(R) Turbo Boost Technology)

PNY required below

  • PCI Express-compliant motherboard with one dual-width x16 graphics slot
  • One 8-pin supplementary power connectors
I have no idea if i have dual width x16 graphics slot or one 8 pin power connector

Will it work on my PC and is this a good video card for my PC?

Thanks!

It does not. It has the stock intel graphics card - intel (r) uhd graphics

Btw, it’s an XPs tower version not special edition
Then I would open the side panel on the case and check out the power supply and motherboard. Take pics of both if you can and share them here. It would help out future people like you wondering if it will fit.

There should be a sticker on the side of the power supply that tells us everything we need to know.

Your motherboard looks fine, although I can't see all the way back towards the front of the case to see if the GPU will fit. Best way to tell is get a measuring tape and measure the distance from the inside back of the case to the first obstruction directly in line with the first and second PCIE slot. The GPU says it is 10.4" long, so you will need at least that much room for it to fit in the case. The RAM slots should be okay. Only problem would be the HDD cages if they are too close.

I can't see the power supply. Looks like it may be located at the top of the case.

hey mr. nice guy, so it fits but i don't think i have the right VGA connector. I have a HP 2511 X where one hdmi goes from back of monitor to PC hdmi slot and another VGA from back of monitor directly to my old video card. Looks like the old VGA doesn't fit the new video card VGA slot. Do I need a new VGA or could I get an UHD monitor and use two hdmi's instead of messing with clunky VGA chord?

New Video Card VGA slot

Old VGA chord that fit my old video card

Old video card slot

Plugs that came with new video card. Do i need to Plug into my PC? If so, where?

the other end of the plug that came with new vidoe card

i think this is where one end from the plug goes into that came with the new card

It's about time I get an UHD monitor and if you have advice on the best quality, best deal, that has same glossy look as my HP 2511 x I'd appreciate it!

Thanks a lot and Happy new year!

You have both an HDMI and VGA cable from a single monitor? You only need one. Use HDMI to connect your monitor to your new graphics card.

hm i tried that but my monitor wouldn't turn on for some reason. i'll give it another try++

when i plug the hdmi from my monitor directly to the video card, the monitor goes to sleep

i have my monitor settings as hdmi. i wonder if i need to tweak something in monitor settings
