will gtx 980 work with my monitor lg e2240??

i am planning to buy a gtx 980 and i saw that it has a dvi connection.so my question is will it work with my monitor lg e2240 or do i have to change it too??if it works then will it also work with 980 sli??

if it has a DVI connection, yes i am sure. even looked it up to double check has a nice response time of 5ms too so good for gaming.

yeah but it has a dvi-d port.so will it work( i mean i am a bit confused about dvi-i and dvi-d)????

for the last time IT WILL WORK...DVI-I sends out Video and sound (say hooking up through a AV receiver with just a DVI-D to HDMI cable)...DVI-D only sends video.
