I'm looking at getting the ASRock 775Dual-VSTA because I want to upgrade my cpu and graphics card now but keep my DDR RAM for a while longer.
I know that the PCIx slot on the 775Dual-VSTA is only 4x, and that the performance won't be quite the same, but I'm not worried about that because I'm only going to be using this board for 3-4 months. I plan on getting an ATI RD600 based MB when they become available.

I want to buy a Core 2 Duo E6700 cpu and an ATI x1950xtx card. Does anyone know if that card would even run on that board, or does it have to be a 16x slot?

I'm definitely getting that board after reading the review. I assume that I'm going to need a new power supply also. I'm using an Antec 350watt right now, but I doubt that would handle a Core 2 e6700 and an x1950xtx.

Can you actually boot up that board with graphics cards in both the AGP and PCIx slots at the same time? In the review it says " If you wish, you can connect two monitors to each card and you have a surround video system with 4 monitors. That might be a solution for the stock brokers."

How the hell would that work?

It is not a Either/Or setup so you can effectively use both as they said.
That being said I have not tried it myself 😛
Why would you want 4 monitors anyway ?
If you have that much money to burn just get a crossfire or sli board and do it that way if you are concerned.
