[SOLVED] Will I be able to use Freesync with a G-Sync monitor that also has adaptive sync

I have an AMD graphics card and I was looking at monitors that could use Free sync and the AOC 27G2 came up as being Freesync compatible so I bought it. When I got it, the box said it was G-Sync with adaptive sync as well. Does the adaptive sync mean I could use Free sync with it?

Adaptive sync is the generalized term for Gsync and Freesync.

But yes the monitor should work without issue.

It should work with Freesync active, although there is no guarantee it wont have issues such as screen flicker or tearing. The same problems exists if you use a Freesync monitor with an Nvidia card as Nvidia.
