Will I bottleneck with this card?

Hello,

I want to upgrade my graphics card but I do not want to bottleneck can someone help me find a good graphics card that is not overkill and not too little.

I am thinking about getting the 550 ti for my setup is that a good choice??

Here is my setup,

intel i5 2500k @ 3.3 ghz

8 gb of kingston hyperx

GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 mobo


if you need more info just ask I have a 8800gt right now but it does not have hdmi and I think it is bottlenecking my system so I want something like a 550 ti good choice?? I am using a 1920x1080 resolution and want to have high resolutions can the 550 ti do that??

Yes, the 550ti is weak for a 2500k. What is your budget? We can give you some suggestions...

You should really be looking at the 6850 in that price range.

The 6850, as shown, performs much better and can be had for within $10-15 of the 550ti. Even there, you should consider the 6870. It's not too much more, and offers a pretty noticeable step up in performance.

I was thinking about 150 but if it will improve performance greatly I can do $200-$250

I think I will go with the 6870 unless the 7770 is better is it??
