My system:
A10 9700
Gigabyt a320m ds2
4gb hyperxfury x2 (8gb dual channel)
Msi gtx 1050 oc

I play aion online, its an old game but my gtx 1050 is struggling to get 60 fps at 1080p medium settings. Was wondering maybe getting a strong cpu can help.

Hope you guys can help me.

Thanks

Well the ryzen 2600 is BY FAR the more powerful CPU. However if the GTX 1050 is the bottleneck in your game then getting a better CPU will do little to nothing to help performance. What is GPU usage while playing that game?
A new CPU will be a massive performance jump from what you have. The difference will be night and day. But a 1050 will struggle to hit 60fps at medium settings at 1080p. You wont solve all of your problems.

Since you have a a320 board, you dont know if I would jump into a 2600. You may want to look at a 1200 or a 2200g. Microcenter has a really good deal on the 1200. Both will be a nice jump from your current CPU. Then you could sell your 1050 and with the money saved on a CPU you could look at getting a 1060.
