Current Build:
Thermaltake 850w PSU
AMD FX 8350
1tb HardDrive 7000rpm
Asus Radeon HD 7770
Kingston HyperX Red Ram (2x4)
AS Rock Extreme 3 970

I plan on upgrading my graphics card to either the Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 or the Gigabyte Radeon HD 7870, I also plan on adding a 128GB Samsung SSD. Will I encounter any problems with compatibility or power by upgrading to any of these components?

Hi there,

You won't experience any Compatibility issues when you upgrade :D

The Graphics Card is fine to upgrade as it uses a PCI Express x16 slot which you have of which your AMD 7770 has been put into

You also have an 850w power supply so you'll have enough power for the upgrades :)

The Samsung SSD that you want to put into your PC will be compatible as it states on your motherboards specifications that...

- 5 x SATA3 6.0 Gb/s connectors, support RAID (RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5 and RAID 10), NCQ, AHCI and Hot Plug functions

The SSD that you want uses SATA III and you have 5 of them :) so the SSD will be compatible :p

First of all I don't know if the SSD actually comes with the SATA III cable so that you can...

First of all I don't know if the SSD actually comes with the SATA III cable so that you can actually connect the SSD to your motherboards SATA port, if it doesn't come with one then be sure to get a 'SATA III 6.0 Gb/s cable'

Hope I helped :)
