[SOLVED] Will i need a cpu cooler?

I have a dell inspiron 3670 and im getiing an i5 9700k which i would like to overclock, will i need a cpu cooler for it and if so any reccomendations?

may want to check your bios first, Dell's haven't been known for their overclocking ability

If motherboard chipset is B360 or B365 (this is what inspiron 3670 probably has), then overclocking is not available.
Check with CPU-Z - motherboard section.

And yes - you'll need a beefy cooler to cool that cpu.
Be quiet Dark Rock 4, Cryorig H5, Noctua NH-U12S or similar.

Checked motherbaord it sadly has a B360 cipset, if i dont overclock it will i still need a cooler?

Yes. Intel stock cooler for i3 and i5 will not be able to cool it.
