Right now i am playing most games at 20-30 fps lowest settings and at 720p or lower, and I am wondering if getting a GT 1030 will solve my problem of low frame rates.

current specs

AMD A4 7210 (4 cores and clocked at 2.2GHz)

4GB DDR3

and Radeon R3 integrated graphics.

220w psu

i am wondering if i will be able to run most titles at 40-60 fps on low to medium settings 720p.

Another guy i know managed to get a gt 1030 working on a 65w psu lol, and there is a cord in the way so i cant get anything longer than the pci slot, and i thought the gtx 1050 would bottle neck wouldnt it?

Both cards are working off of the PCI Express x 16 slot power. The processor would probably be OK on either. Remember that until the GT 1030 came out the GTX 1050 was the entry level card (still is for the GTX cards).

And there are short versions of the GTX 1050. Measure the maximum length from the expansion slot port to the first obstruction inside the case? Then compare them to the cards. The GT 1030 is about 4.5 - 5" (the GTX 1050 are about 1 -1.25" longer). The whole point is mute if t will not fit (also consider the height, it may need a low profile card as well).

AMD A4 7210 is in a desktop computer? If so, a 1030 DDR5 has the capability to run a lot of games well at 720p.

In your case, before you buy anything verify that your CPU isn't already maxed out. Run a game while running MSI Afterburner at the same time, so you can see onscreen CPU usage. Is it high, close to 100%? If it is, a new card won't help much.

On most games I get anywhere from 40% to 85% (85 is rare though).
