will i3-8100 bottleneck gtx 980 ??

As the title sugests, i wanna know if a gtx 980 will bottleneck a lot with a I3 8100
because i wanaa upgrade my gtx 1050 ti and i dont have budget
my friend well sell to me his gtx 980 with good price so i want to know what should i do??

With RTX series coming out the least you want to do wait for the GTX 1000 series to drop in prices.

no it wont , i3 8100 is a good pair for that gpu
gtx 980 is still a good 1080p card but buying it depends on its price and warranty
