Will Increasing RAM improve performance ?

Hi

I have a Phenom II X4 925, 4GB Gskill 1333 MHz Value RAM (4GBNT)
ASUS M4N68T - M LE V2, ASUS HD7750-1GD5-V2 and a Cirle RAW Power 500W PSU


I want to know if adding 4GB of Gskill DDR3 Value ram will bring about any significant performance improvement. My motherboard supports max 8GB of RAM.

Should I increase RAM or do a total overhaul?

Increasing the ram allows you to run more programs at the same time. It also allows you to run more intense programs that require 8 gigs.

Best to get a 2x4GB set of DRAM or an 8GB stick - if mobo supports it. No guarantee 'adding' DRAM will play with the old, but yes it should increase overall performance having 8GB vs 4
