Hello,

I have a desktop PC in my office and I recently purchased Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro etc.).

Unfortunately, my monitor is terrible, it displays colors wrong and it's small. I'm in the market for a new one and I thought about getting a 32" 4K monitor, like this one: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824025172&Description=LG%2032UD59&cm_re=LG_32UD59-_-24-025-172-_-Product

I'm not sure, though, if my PC will handle it. I won't be doing any gaming on that, just graphics editing (and other office tasks of course).

PC specs:

  • Intel Core i3-6100 (3,7 GHz)
    Intel HD Graphics 530
    8 GB RAM
    120 GB SSD

I didn't buy or choose this PC, it was given to me for the office.

Another question is whether Adobe Creative Cloud benefits from being on an SSD. 120 GB is filled with Windows and Adobe alone, so I need to purchase another one - I'm just not sure if it's worth to invest in SSD or to simply buy HDD. I don't really need much storage because we use Office365 where I have 1 TB OneDrive account. So 256 GB will be sufficient for me I suppose. Sorry for posting this question in a GPU forum.

Solution
Your setup will work, but not in your expectation. You need to have at least an AMD FireGL/FirePro, or A Quadro from nVidia as a minimum GPU

Thanks for the answer. So what do you think'll happen? Will it lag? Load slowly? I don't have any problems with Photoshop at 1080p.
