I am purchasing a GTX 1070 TI for 400 USD Brand New at a computer shop closing near me. This is an amazing deal but, I think it's too much. They also have gtx 1060 6GB Strix priced at 380 which would be less of a bottleneck, but for 20 dollars more I feel the massive upgrade would be more worthwile ( based off benchmarks, I'm not a computer wizard). I've researched these cards and asked about my most efficient money making decision on this forum therefore I'm planning on spending off my money on my GPU rather than upgrading my i5 4460 and mobo. I plan on upgrading these in the future, but I would like to know if the GTX 1070 Ti not get damaged in the 4-5 months I'll be saving up my money to upgrade my cpu/motherboard, or do I just have to keep the card stored until I can get my cpu/motherboard situated. Thanks in advance!
