Not particularly, however they don't always work as expected. I've seen probably about 75% of the time that they've had to be sent back for a kit that was fundamentally compatible, anyhow, at the end, so it might be a long drawn out waste of time for you. If you have them already, then by all means go ahead and try to get them to work, but if not I'd recommend getting a kit that you know is compatible from the start and avoid any such problems.
There is no reason or point to intentionally setting yourself up for headaches if it isn't necessary.
