i already have the 4 gb ram up and running. Now about to get 8 GB single kit ram.

i just wanted to know that if i place the 8 (Corsair Memory — 8GB DDR3L SODIMM Memory (CMSO8GX3M1C1600C11) ) gb ram in slot 2 and the 4 GB in slot 1?

Am i able to use the 12 GB ram (user available lika: 10 GB).

that laptop supports up to 16gb of ram, you will never be able to use the full amount of ram as its needed for other components and files, i have 16gb in my pc and it uses around 1.5 idle so i have 14.4 spare.

pros- laptop will run smoother, more system memory, games that require more than 4gb of ram will run better.

cons- none unless laptops use dual channel ram meaning that it would be better using 2x4gb sticks instead of 1x4 and 1x8 but it doesnt make much difference anyway.

even i thought going for 4 + 4 GB ram instead of 4 & 8 GB ram but i want to use full of 16 GB that supported by system.

currently 2x8 GB ram is costing alot so sticked with 1x8 GB as of now.

will the system boot up after installing the two rams of same specfications ( 4 (hynix)+ 8 (corsair) = 12 GB) of different company made?

you can use different makes of ram in the same system although its not advised, if one stick is faster than the other, lets say one is 1333mhz and the other is 1600mhz, the 1600mhz will underclock and become 1333mhz as it has to be the same speed.

im not going put different MHZ in the slot.. i just to know will the system accept the 4 and 8 gb of same specifications

4 in Slot 1 & 8 in Slot 2

1600 MHZ

CL 11

non-buffer

Non - ECC.

Thank you!

though the different size in GB but if it have the same specification that will work it mean to be. thanks mate.

does it make any difference 1.3v Vs 1.3 low voltage.
