I bought a new monitor for my ps4 pro, i realised it doesnt have inbuilt speakers, will these speakers work when i connect it to the ps4 ?

PS4 has an optical out on the back as well. I only ever tried using speakers with that so I do not know if the PS4 will recognize speakers plugged into the front via USB, but it is possible.

I saw some YT vids and it says the usb is only to power it, and the 3.5m for the actual sound.
