[SOLVED] Will my 8600k work with a 3070 at 1440p 144hz?

like many i want to jump on this awesome value card but dont know if my cpu will hold up ok?

Right, so, we don't know. This card hasn't been released yet AND there are ZERO reviews of it so far. Once there are actual reviews of this card, we might be able to venture a guess so waiting to ask questions like this until somebody has had the chance to actual run it through the paces would be a good idea.

I believe it might do ok. Check out Hardware Cunucks video on ryzen CPUs being tested with a 3080. The lowest ryzen used is worse than the 8600k and the 3080 will have a worse bottleneck than the 3070. So it could be a good source to get an early indication of any bottleneck before the 3070 is releases.

Doesn't much matter anyhow. Nobody I know of has been able to get one anyway. It will probably be at least weeks, likely more like a month or two, before these cards have any real widespread availability.
