Ok, pretty much the same answer then. That CPU may struggle with GTA5 especially. Pick up a 1050 Ti and enjoy the benefits you can get out of it now, and save up for a cpu/mobo/memory upgrade down the road.
In the case of most recent games, yes, your CPU will be a bottle neck. You'll still see an improvement in most games with a newer GPU, but most AAA games are going to need a decent quad-core to really thrive.
You can probably crank down CPU-dependent settings, like physics, particle effects, etc...and crank up things like Anti-Aliasing (especially with that low resolution monitor).
