Will my CPU hold me back?

I've got a stock FX-6300 running at 3.5GHz and i don't plan to overclock, will it hold me back from my gaming?

Depends, what kind of graphics card do you have, it should be able to handle quite a bit

not necessarily, and it kind of depends too. What graphics card do you have? gaming doesnt solely rely on the cpu. It has alot to do with how good your graphics card is.

I have a crap GPU at the moment but i am getting more info on what i should get, I have 3 options, EVGA GTX 650 Ti SSC, GTX 760 and AMD 7950.

Get the 7950 it the best out of the three when overclock and wont bottleneck your FX6300.
The 760 is also a good choice but cant overclock as good as 7950.
Don't get 650 ti it isn't as good as a 7950/760

the 650ti is crap compared to the 760 and especially to the 7950. The 760 or the r9 270x are your best choices for single monitor gaming with the FX 6300

Then the 760 and 7950 are about equal. Either one will work.
