[SOLVED] Will my current set up run 1 1440p monitor

Hi everyone,

I currently have a MSI GeForce GTX 960 4GB GPU and a i5 4690k CPU and wanting to upgrade my monitor to a 144hz 1440p etc. and just wondering if my computer could handle it?

Reason for monitor upgrade is because in the near future I will be upgrading to a Ryzen 5 3600x and a RTX 2070S and just wanting to get the monitor sorted now

Looking for some monitor recommendations also if anyone has any (Which would make good use of the 3600x and 2070S)

Yup, that won't be an issue. You're not going to get great FPS in games until you get the new GPU, but...

What country are you shopping in?
What's your monitor budget?
What size monitor?
16:9 aspect ratio?

I'm in England, looking for around £300-£350 but if I need to spend a bit more to make use of the GPU then may as well.

Around 30" would be decent, and I'm not too sure what the aspect ratio is sorry!

Another question as well, would a 31.5 inch monitor be too big for gaming?

That's your call. You asked for 30". There's 27" and 32" so I wen't with the larger.

I have a 27" 1440p monitor myself.

You'll want to connect via DisplayPort cable. The monitor will probably come with one.

Yeah sorry about that mate, the monitor you linked do they have them in a 27inch? I thought my current one was 27 but it's a bit smaller so 27 should be good
