Will my FX 6300 pair with the RTX 2070 JUST for 60hz 1080p?

I really need to know. i know this is a HUGE BOTTLENECK. but i cant upgrade my CPU, Motherboard, RAM etc right now

It will work with a 2070, but you will be leaving a lot of performance on the table. I would not do it unless i was upgrading the platform in the next couple of months. Long term, this is a waste of money as you should just go for a 1060 or 580 and save some cash.

i am able to upgrade in the next few months. although i dont know what CPU to pair it with completely. i might go with Ryzen for a cheaper solution

I agree with the above. Just wait or grab a much cheaper card if all you're looking for is 1080/60. What card do you have now? Is it struggling to give you the fps you want?

Im currently using a 1050ti with a weird underclock. In Dying Light i get 40-50 FPS on all low.

Find it really strange

If you're planning a cpu upgrade, I would wait until ryzen 3000 comes out and go from there. But I think a 2070 would pair nicely with a 2600/2700x, still wayyy overkill for a 1080/60 setup unless planning to move to 1440p or 144hz as well.

Rumors have it as June release date. That's what I'm waiting for as well. If the specs and leaked numbers are true, it'll be an excellent performer.

If you don't plan on moving away from 1080p, grab a 1060/6gb or an rx580 As froggy mentioned, or even a 2060. Keep your wallet happier and still crush 1080p/60hz.
