will my g2010 bottleneck my gtx 1050 2gb

Hi,

I Have an intel pentium G2010 2.8Ghz cpu.
I wanted to ask that will it bottleneck my gpu msi nvidia GTX 1050 2gb?
And is it possible to overclock my cpu to 3.2ghz without any damage?

First let's see what bottlenecking really is.

BOTTLENECKS always exist, because of software optimization you can never get 100% out of your card.

But of course some parts bottleneck much more than others.

In general, the G2020 is an old CPU, low speeds, old architecture and only 2 cores. For modern gaming it's going to struggle

but the 1050 is still a nice upgrade. While you won't even get close to the max, you will get a much better gaming experience

And NO, you can't OC that cpu

it's a 3rd gen cpu and only i5s and i7s which feature turbo boost can overclock, and only if you have a Z77 board

Again, it depends, it depends on the game and it depends on the specific situation.

Sorry my bad, anyway a G2010 is almost identical to the G2020, only 100mhz lower clock so you won't see any difference between the two.

What I said about the G2020 applies for the G2010 for sure
