Will my GFX Card fit my PSU

Solution

Well that is really upto u. U will have to use a converter cable. Does it have a 6-pin pcie connector? Because the lower wattage models 420,450,480W have a 6+2 pin connector but the 500W model doesn't have any. That is what bothers me.

It's better to be safe than sorry. U don't want a costly gpu to underperform or worst case get damaged

at worse it will be a bit unstable and he gets a new psu too after that if he has issues. but the psu should be ok to drive the gtx650

nice find. however a 650boost won't run a rig higher than ~250 watts.

ya know -maybe you should just get this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182022&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Newegg doesnt ship to EU, im from Latvia, so my options are pretty limited.

Wow, misspelled ship to shi*... Sorry

I said the 500W model appears to be dodgy because i can't find the combined amperage on +12V rail(It has 2 +12V rails). So worst case it might even explode.

funny 😀 and we could all be hit by a meteor tomorrow and the world would end

yeah i know -it s a400 watt PSU 😛

So thats it, it simply knocks out? Will it kill rest of my pc or just the PSU? I was afraid if it does that i might have to get a whole new pc, and my new video card would be good for 10 minutes...

It might be a 400W psu but usually psu's like these have bad capacitors and capacitors age over time and it will shutdown or explode after months of heavy load. They must have tested on a new stock psu. An old one wouldn't even withstand i guess 200W

Yes. It's best to buy a decent quality psu. U don't have to buy an 80+ Platinum or 80+Gold psu. U can just buy a cheap decent 80+certified psu. U will also get better performance and lower temperatures with a decent psu

Im on a really tight budget, stuff here costs like 1.5 it does on newegg..

caps don't age but they do dry out from heat. hey, at least it has PFC.

actually thats the 420 but the same OEM.

and you know the OCP works if it shut down - so no explodie!

but btw, i did suggest a very budget oriented rosewell stallion before . . . 😉

Do u have any online sites and what's your budget in local currency.

Paying that should be no problem, but as i mentioned its on newegg, im from EU, isnt possible to ship and here it would cost me around 70$
