I am thinking about upgrading my PSU to a eVGA supernova gs 650w and fitting my new gtx 960 4GB but will my current CPU run the card fine? its a AMD A8-6600K Quad Core Processor 3.9GHz. will it run fine? will i need a new CPU? if so any suggestions?
The gtx 960 will work well with that CPU, I have experienced that very setup and it runs very modern games with good detail at 60 FPS. More Cpu intensive games, like Fallout 4, GTA V, and Assassins Creed will benefit a lot from a CPU with a bit more power.
I would install it, and see how you find it plays games, if you find you want some higher detail settings than you can always pick up a better CPU.

Hi brandon! Not sure if you've chosen that APU just because it looks good, or you already have it? If you're buying a whole new thing, why not try something in the FX range, or possibly the X4 860k?
thanks for the replies, i currently have the APU listed in my current build, but i am wondering is it worth upgrading my CPU or will my GPU be fine with it? as ive heard things about bottleknecking etc.
