Will my i5-4690k be able to run a stock cooler safely with new thermal paste and no OC?

I got my I5-4690k recently and plan on playing games like H1Z1, DayZ, Miscreated, and League. I'm wanting to run on high and max if possible at 1920x1080. I don't have any AAA titles(yet), I play games like that mostly on my PS4.

Here my setup if needed.

MOBO-Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI
CPU-i5-4690k
GPU-EVGA GTX 970

YES! In a properly ventilated case. The stock cooler is quite stout at stock, even when TurboBoost is going full blast. What is your GPU and motherboard?

You should be fine. Just make sure your stock fan is spinning at high rpms and you have excellent ventilation.

Im actually planning on getting an cooler master hyper 212 EVO but I have in-sufficient funds ATM and wanted to get everything set up and ready/downloaded while I could. Maybe play a game or two before I get it.
