Will my iMac be good for gaming?

My iMac has a GTX 775m and a quad core i5, I have boot camp on it. Everybody tells me it will suck if i try to game on it. But i want to because it seems to have better specs than my old gaming PC and the monitor on my mac is so much nicer. So before i spend my money on windows 7 on boot camp, can i please know if i will be any good at gaming. And the reason i have a mac is because when i looked for a gaming computer with high specs this was the best deal with monitor included.

Laptops are generally poor for gaming, that will run some games at low-medium settings though.
