Will my mother board run my new Video card.

Hi,

If you are currently using your graphics card and you do not have integrated graphics the card is working fine, If you need the drivers, please download them from AMD. http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
This is not a motherboard problem if your graphics card is what is supplying the video output, it is simply windows not being able to detect/find drivers for your card. Your motherboard should be able to support this graphics card. (UEFI interface)

Update: Did your graphics card come with a driver installation disk? If so, use that.

I was using the intergrated card and I tried using the disk it came with and it wouldn't install. Went to AMDs website to download a driver in case it was the disk that was having issues. Did the auto detect and it didn't detect it. So I wasn't sure if it was being my motherboard couldn't run it.

Your card is compatible, but you shouldn't need to use the integrated graphics to be able to see the screen. Don't use the integrated graphics and install the drivers.

I was trying. When I would plug in my monitors via the HDMI and adapter pludded into the other HDMI (I run 2 monitors) It wouldn't show up any display on either one of them. When I would move the HDMI to the intergrated, it would work. Tried to use the CD that way to install, nothing. Updated the BIOS for the MB as I had read there were issues sometimes with the same one not reading due to out of date drivers. Tried moving the card to another slot. Tried disabling the Intergrated graphics incase that was causing issues. Still nothing. The power was working to the card as I put my hand near the fan and could feel it running. So I am thinking it might be a bad card.....not sure. I tried everything I could.

Lack of power? What is your PSU wattage?

It's compatibility then, I have no more clues as to why it will not work. I had this problem with a 750 ti, unless someone else can help you then I cannot, I am out of ideas, all I can say is the card is incompatible with the PC for what ever reason.

Thanks for the help. It helps to know that the MB should be able to run it. Right now I have the 2 old cards in I was using before, so it isn't a bad slot for either that I moved it to. I also had 2 different HDMI plugs that are in now, that also work....I think it might be the card thats bad. My plan is to take it back today whe nI am back up and get it replaced. Sadly the only one that isn't $400+ is a Nvidia 960 FTW. Which isn't a bad card. But I am not sure its equal to the one I will be taking back.

Again, thank you for the help. I do appreciate it.
