I have pegatron ipmsb-h61 motherboard and on the internet it says it supports ddr3 ram 1333mhz . I was thinking to upgrade my ram right now . Wanted to ask if i can install 1600 or 1866 or 2166 mhz of ram ( even if it downgrades the ram to 1333mhz then np because i m soon gonna upgrade my motherboard to a better one ) and also , the price of 1333 mhz ram and 1866 mhz ram will be the same for me . Thanks for answering

Because you had the 1333mhz RAM, you are better to check out the RAM specification, means the timing, then buy the same speed timing 1333mhz RAM, because if you mixed the RAM, you may or may not have the compatibility problem in the OEM PC.
Keep in mind your PC is the HP, and the RAM is DDR3. Now most of the newer cpu/MB, either intel or AMD, can support the DDR4 only.
Recommend to hold on it and don't buy the RAM right now until you buy ( build ) a new PC, then buy the new RAM.

I have i5 3470 @3.2 ghz ( turbo up to 3.2ghz) with gtx 1060 6gb gaming x by msi and 4x1 ddr3 1333mhz ram with windows 7 (64bit) and PSU by antec ( vp450p 450W model ) . I just wanted to get 8gb ram because 4gb ram GREATLY bottlenecks my build . U know which motherboard i have , now pls give me the best advice... and thanks for caring
