Will n68c-gs fx work with fx 8300 ?

Problem is AMD cores are weak and not real cores. Just don't get FX CPUs as AMD doesnt use the socket anymore.

A 2-core 4 thread i3 from Intel beats the "8-core Black" FX-8350 in benchmarks and gaming. http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i3-6100-vs-AMD-FX-8350/3511vs1489

and it is cheaper.

No, not even close. Any money you put in that platform is basically money thrown away. It's that bad until AMD releases Zen.
An i3 is what you want, as it will wipe the floor with a 8300 in gaming.

Please don't buy the FX 8300. It is a really bad decision. If you are really strapped for cash, get a Pentium G4400 and upgrade to a LGA1151 i5 or i3 later down the road.

No. A pure dual core is even a worse idea than an FX 4300.
While with the FX you stand a bit of a chance in SP in DX12 mode, with a pure dual core you would probably see nothing above 35FPS.

yes, I know. I meant grab a LGA1151 CPU and save if you really can't afford one now. a cheaper one would be a Celeron G3900 for $42.

I don't know where the person in that thread got that screenshot of the CPU compatibility list, but here's the list of supported CPUs for that mobo straight from the manufacturer:
http://www.asrock.com/mb/NVIDIA/N68C-GS%20FX/?cat=CPU
As you can see, the only FX CPUs listed are quad core FX 4xxx processors.
