I have read the troubleshooting sticky and I have done everything on there. I think that this is kind of an odd problem so I will start from the beginning. (IF YOU DONT WANT TO READ THE STORY SKIP THE NEXT PARAGRAPH AND START AT THE ***)

I was just upgrading from a stock cooler for my AMD Phenom 1090T x6 to a Noctua D15. The CPU was fused to the other heatsink, so I tried many different tricks from using floss to using a hairdryer. Eventually the only thing that worked was twisting the CPU off after soaking it in isopropyl alcohol 75%. I then allowed it to dry for 3 hrs and even blasted it with a hair dryer (on and off - I did not use the direct stream).

*** I put thermal paste back on the CPU and installed the new heatsink and fans. I plugged everything in correctly and the CPU fans start up when I turn on the computer. The first time I powered up I got a post BIOS loaded screen which was great, then my computer just instantly shutdown. I tried again, and the computer could not even get to the post screen this time. I waited around 5 minutes and tried yet again, and it managed to post, but same thing happened as last time and it shut down. And the process was repeated.

When I pried the CPU off of the heatsink, some pins were bent, but I carefully bent the few that were back into place. It fit into the socket correctly and I even locked it into place. What could be wrong? Do you guys think that the CPU is broken? I am not sure if a post screen can even showup without one. Please help ;w;

Thanks for any responses

its not an odd problem

you bent the cpu pins--then straightened them

either they arent properly straightened and they bent again when you put it back in

or you damaged the cpu

you will have to take the cpu back out and look at the pins again

and yes damaged cpu or bent pins causes a blank screen with no post

I just found the answer myself. Looks like I freaked out for nothing. The instructions included with the noctua said to take the backplating that was included with the motherboard and use it with the brackets of noctua. By doing that the heatsink was not making contact with the CPU. I took out the backplate and voila it works. Feel very stupid now =_=
