Will OCing my CPU help

hey guys my previous motherboard and processor roasted and i bought a used amd a4 3400 apu 2.7ghz my 6 gb ram and a gtx 750 ti 2gb card and i,m getting a very huge bottleneck that fifa 16 is only giving 15-20FPS , GTA 5 15-30FPS etc so i was wondering i could reduce the bottleneck my overclocking my cpu to 3.2 ghz so will it help??? i,m not buying new stuff at the moment thanks....

The moderator merged your threads because you posted the same thing twice.

What motherboard do you have? You should be able to overclock it if you want but I doubt it will do much for you. That is a very weak cpu and its not going to be very good for gaming with or without an overclock.

No amount of ocing is going to fix your problem. The a4 is extremely weak and no where near min spec for those games.

Don't count on it those a4's are bad overclockers. A 500 mhz oc will help but it still won't give playable fps.

You have an APU instead of a CPU. Because it's split between CPU and GPU cores, it's less powerful than a similarly priced FX or i5/i7 CPU.

That's because the phenom is over 2x as powerful as the a4. The a4 can be compared to a low end core 2 duo.

I have a laptop with an A6 that's seven years old at this point. It's more powerful than my 2004 build, but my Surface tablet blows it out of the water.

Your A4 is weaker than my laptop's A6.
