Hello everyone.

I have an ASUS Vivobook 14 Flip TP470EA.

It currently has an SK hynix 256gb. I’m struggling with storage and carrying my hard drive around with me has just proved impractical at work. I’ve looked up how to replace my SSD and will be placing it with a 970 Evo.
What I wanted to ask is will this void my warranty? I still have about 3 years left on it, and this will be the first time I ever open it up. If I need to make a warranty claim can I just put the old Hynix back in it and send it off?

I appreciate the help.
Note - I haven’t replaced the SSD yet.

You'd better send them an E-mail asking this same question, their answer will serve as proof in case you need it later.

Or if you have the SSD replaced by their custom service center, it will be covered by warranty.

This time go big and get a 1TB or ever how big you need 1TB is about 100 bucks.
And as above contact them.

If there is a trap door to change the ssd then it's a user serviceable part and warranty will remain, of course warranty doesn't cover you screwing something up but if you do everything correctly there will be no issue with warranty.

Well the warranty for the new drive would be with the maker of the drive and not Asus. So everything else should be covered. I remember MSI used to have a policy that if you opened it up it would void the warranty. They had tape seals and if they were broke it broke the warranty.
