I got a good deal on an RX580 and I'm wondering if my VS450 is capable of powering it atleast for a short period of time(until I save up enough for a better PSU).
These are my full system specs:

CPU- Ryzen 3 2200g(stock cooler)
RAM- 1x8gb 2400mhz
STORAGE- 2x2TB HDD
Cooling- 6x120mm LED Fans
KB- Redragon Kala K557
Mouse- Steelseries Rival300

I've tried several psu calculators and mostly come up with around 350W needed but the box on GPU says 500W recommended. Thank you! =)

Hmm, my VDDC + VDDCI don't seem to quite add up to GPU only power draw, although it seems to be close (within 10W or so). Also, VDDCI stays at exactly 16W and doesn't budge even under load. Oh well.

Edit: So running Furmark at 1080p as they did in TH's review, I get an average "GPU only power draw" of ~175W. This is at stock settings using the 1411 MHz BIOS of my Nitro+ (which seems like it should be comparable to the 1411 MHz "silent" mode of their Nitro+ LE). It's power throttling down to around 1250 MHz average, which also seems in line with what TH saw during their furmark run. So my power draw reported by GPU Z is about 50W lower than TH measured in similar circumstances.

Ooph, 1411 down to 1250MHz? Does it do that in games also? That's a drag. Talk about losing performance you paid for. That's basically the same as a reference RX480.
Not to rub salt in the wound, just a travesty that products are shipping like that.

It may just be a furmark thing, not sure if it happens in realistic gaming loads. I run it with 1340 MHz BIOS and undervolted so throttling isn't normally a problem, was just trying to replicate Tom's setup in this case. But yeah, it is kind of disappointing that a 'premium' version of the RX 580 would still have power throttling issues at stock settings.
