Will the CX600w support a R9 290x?

I have a Corsair CX600 and I want to upgrade my R9 270X to a 290X, will my PSU support a R9 290X card. I probably wont be OC'ing anytime soon.

What about a 290/280/280x?

The CX600 is a poor quality power supply. It'd only be OK for low end PCs.

R9 290 needs 650W, R9 280 needs 550W, R9 280x needs 600W. I would recommend against using the CX600 for any of those.

What do you think about the EVGA Supernova B2 750W?

It's a much much better unit than the CX.

The B2 is far superior to the CX600. The CX series is designed for light duty gaming, not the kind of punishment a r9 290x can dish out.

It'll run it, barely, if all you use it for is net surfing or other light duty graphics, but you run a real chance of burning it up under heavy graphics demands, and since the main power draw will be the gpu at that time, a good chance of spiking the gpu as well,possibly ruining that too.

Personally, I wouldn't chance it, but it's your stuff.

EVGA B2 is on tier 2 - OK. Corsair CX is on tier 3 - which I'd only use for low end builds.
